PLAYER VALUES

Player Values by team and position

EPA means Expected Points Added: the change in a team's expected points associated with a play. Recent-weighted player values help put offensive and defensive contributions in context.

What Expected Points Added does—and does not—measure

Expected Points Added, or EPA, estimates how a play changes a team's expected scoring position. Aggregating that value can show which players have produced or prevented value in their recorded opportunities, while filters for season, team, position, and playing time help make comparisons more meaningful.

EPA is sensitive to role, teammates, opponents, and sample size. It is useful evidence, not a complete measure of talent or a direct fantasy-point projection. Read it alongside usage, injuries, and the team environment before drawing a conclusion about a player.
